From June 27th to July 1st we hosted a well known Swiss cosmetic producer at our Swiss Center Vietnam. The Center concluded herewith the first step of market research for the company after delivering an extensive market research. The next step of actually selling different cosmetic products via the Swiss Center is now under preparation. This project underlines the Center’s expertise of developing consumer goods markets in Vietnam for Swiss clients.
A Swiss delegation interested in sourcing opportunities was received between 28th of March and 1st of April 2011 by the SCV. Several qualified suppliers have been visited during the tour in Hanoi and HCMC. Visits to casting and forging companies as well as medium to high quality machining workshops have been conducted. It was commonly agreed that Vietnam can offer some alternatives to production outsourcing compared to China whereas individual company cases have to be analysed separately in order to decide if outsourcing and procurement from Vietnam is feasible.
